One of the things that gets me into a show is friendship, and boy did Slayers have some fucking awesome friendships.

I love shows that do deep friendships/”found” families so much. Almost as much as I get attached to epic sibling bonds in narratives. The Slayers gang fight and drive each other up a wall, but at the end of the day they love and protect each other.
