I finally sat down and caught up with Namesake. I’ve been following secondlina for a long time of course and love her art and have been dying to read all of this, but I’ve never remembered to make the time to read the whole thing. I’m so glad I did! What a quality webcomic. It’s a story about stories, with high fantasy, amazing art, tons of characters with complicated backstories and relationships, a dense plot, good building on Oz canon, excellent ladies and basically all the things I love? recommended to everyone

New Namesake page!
This is the last regular update for the year. A special 3-part Namesake Christmas comic will run Thursday, Saturday and on Christmas Day. It’s really cute. Look forward to it.
For the next seven days after that, we will run a fanart showcase because Isa is basically dead, killed by Christmas shoppers, and we want to share some of the amazing work fans have come up with this year for Namesake and to celebrate creativity in the fandom. The next regular Namesake update will be Jan. 3, 2013.
Meanwhile, I love this page and the practicality of Nose. It’s lovely to see a character’s personality take shape.

Work-in-progress of the wallpaper i’m doing for the upcoming Namesake book 2 kickstarter (dated for mid-January).
The theme is, obviously, Sword and Shield.
Because it’s a good theme and a bunch of people aside from me have drawn it already.
