After the event, the majority of the fans went into the line for Benedict Cumberbatch, but I was there more for Moffat. I don’t remember shaking Moffat’s hand, and he gave me this look when I said he looked a bit shellshocked at all the Doctor Who fans during filming last month. :P
But oh, his wife is so lovely — I wish that more people had asked her questions during it all because she loves the series so much, and she’s just as enthusiastic about it as Moffat is. My “Sherlock” question had to do with the use of print media in series 2, and I asked about the newspapers used and how they were produced. Sue said that the copy and photos were provided to the papers and they did the layout/design so it was all authentic. They were careful in selecting the newspapers to make sure the coverage was balanced, and you can tell that the more sensational papers were the ones to make the most extreme accusations against Sherlock in series 2. I really wish I’d had a chance to talk more about that, but I was trying not to hog all the time.
They also really liked my Southern accent, which I lapsed into because I was so nervous.
Moffat even suggested I be in the middle, but I liked the picture how it turned out just fine. :)
